mega-shark-header

Some movies are just too good to be true. Others are too true to be good. And this next film from Jack Perez (Wild Things 2, 666: The Child) is a little bit of both. On one hand, the director has successfully brought back Lorenzo Lamas and somehow-still-hot Debbie Gibson. And on the other, he has bypassed their obvious direct-to-DVD sales pull and decided to go for the gusto with a giant CGI shark and a giant CGI octopus who not only wreak havoc on humanity, they fight each other. Its ridiculous, it looks painfully awesome and I can’t wait to see it when it hits DVD on May 26, 2009.

The first trailer for Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus is out courtesy of the folks at MTV. You can check it out there in High Definition, or you can just enjoy it below.
