I have to wait an extra two weeks to watch HP6 in IMAX 3D (although the 3D part is just 12 min)

The best part in the last movie HP5 was the fight at the end and in HP6 WB decides to cut “the fighting that goes on between the teachers, Professor Dumbledore (Michael Gambon)’s Army, the Order, and the Death Eaters” (Source: IMDB and several other sites) The reason they cut the battle scene is to “(avoid) repetition” with the forthcoming adaptation of Deathly Hallows. lol…is that even a proper reason.

They better have a damn good story this time because I felt that the story of HP5 was very boring, but the battle scene near the end in 3D was awesome :P

To those who don’t know Dumbledore’s funeral was also removed as it was believed it did not fit with the rest of the film. Whatever that’s supposed to mean. I also heard that this movie showed too much romance (which was unnecessary, maybe the Twilight fans will like it) … One Potter fan who attended the secret screening in Chicago fumed: “The film is dominated by romance – Ron with Lavender Brown, Ginny with Dean Thomas, Hermione’s growing love for Ron, Ron’s potion-affected desire for Romilda Vane, and ultimately Harry and Ginny.”

Despite all the negative talk, I will still watch the movie hoping that it will be good. Transformers sucked and I hope this doesn’t. So far, the best movie of 2009 is Pixar’s “UP”. It would be cool if UP gets the “Best movie of the year” Oscar :)

The only thing I found positive about HP6 is that they spent $250 million dollars making the movie which is $100 million more than any other HP movie. Expecting some really good graphics :D

I prefer Yates to Columbus and Newell. I think Cuarón has done best, but at least Yates isn’t awful or anything. Super excited for this one though.

Just over a week away, I can't wait! I was a little worried with Yates staying on since I was a little disappointed with Order of the Phoenix; however it looks as if he's embraced Half Blood Prince quite well.

I've never read the books. And the video didn't spoil that for me, but you just did. I had no idea the significance of the pairing until reading your comment that it was something they shouldn't have shown..

I've not read any of the books but I do enjoy watching the trailers to try and figure things out. I still think Snape is a good guy as Harry screams at him to fight back. When you go frame by frame you can see a group of people behind them destroying Hagrid's house… I think I spotted Malfoy in there.

But a “first look” shouldn't be “Hey, let's show Draco with his wand out talking to Dumbledore. And don't forget that in the trailers we hear dialogue that says Draco is doing something for Voldemort. Man, that sure won't spoil anything or ruin the surprise.” :)

At this point in the film series – considering that The Half-Blood Prince (book) was released four years ago – there's really no point in the trailers/clips hiding conversations. They didn't show you what actually happens, they just point out things that make the book-reading fan base even more excited for the film. If a conversation out of context spoils the film for someone watching videos on youtube… I'm sorry, that's their own fault. Just like typing “Half-Blood Prince spoilers” into Google isn't Google's fault, it's your own.

I don't like how they showed Draco and Dumbledore talking together. It spoils a part of the film for those who haven't read the book. It's as retarded as showing Snape and Harry in the trailers. I'm still going to see it, though.

A bit unfortunate that the Inferi look (in the 2nd clip as least) very much like Gollum, from Jackson's Lord of the Rings. I hope that was only in this one view, and that in the film, they'll be a bit more… I dunno, dead bodies as opposed to really super crazy hobbits.
