Reboot is a MUST. Throw out Singer and Routh. Give superman a "down to earth" approch just like christopher nolan did to Batman. May be bring Tom Willing as the new Superman.

Did everybody forget to mention a by-gone TV-show, Lois and Clarke: The New Adventures of Superman, which was out long before Smallville ever became Smallville. Vin, familiarity does not lend to creativity, take it from a writer - I mean the real aspects of creativity are what makes something ORIGINAL. Familiarity is boring, many of us right now in this climate of remakes feel tired of the remakes, we want something never-before seen that will become embedded in our cultural references. Don't forget, Star Wars was once unknown. Movies used to be original, but remake central is getting boring. In the case of Superman, yeah, I need messy hair too. If his hair is blowing in the wind, we need him to land with messy hair. He's way too perfect unless he has a comb hidden away in his tights somewhere. I don't need to be in the heart of Los Angeles, almost the den of evil in some ways, (no that could be Vegas), to feel I need to make a name for myself in writing. I went to writing school but I almost double-majored in film school which would have taken longer, though a year later, I found my way here, the most refreshing blog I write on. I'm dirt poor right now with a few ideas floating around in my head for novels, a novel on the way, and a few movie ideas in fact. So yeah, I'm one of the many who wants to get somewhere, without having to re-vision or re-make a found movie with found imagery. There is something to be spoken for originality or the lack thereof we are facing in the movie world right now.

I didn't like Superman Returns at all, save maybe the always amazing Kevin Spacey. He is about the only thing from that movie I would consider bringing back although honestly, I can't even remember how that movie ended, just that I wanted to leave. Just replace everyone and try again I guess.

One of the greatest action heros of all time and they have him standing around looking angst and worried over a girl.

Here's a novel concept, bring in a villian with comperable powers to Superman or a host of villians, ala Darkseid and then have Superman go to town. Hell pick up any of the comics from the last 20 years, pick a frigging compelling story line and make it. How hard is that when you have it right in front of you?

I had to spin the Earth's rotation backward to reverse time when I was working on my master's thesis. I had worked for hours on this chart and then accidentally erased it! Instead of starting from scratch, I figured it would be easier to fly around the planet. Because that's how time travel works. Seriously.

I would find out years later that I could have just pressed Ctrl-Z. Crazy computers!

Singer's good, but he's no ME.

I'm telling you, I'm the guy to make this movie.

Picture this:

Worst person on the face of the planet, worst most vile supervillain you can imagine.

Superman pounds him, crushes him, and then smashes his bones into coal, and then into diamonds. And then he flies out into space, spins the Earth's rotation backwards to reverse time, and does it again.

NOW THAT'S a Superman movie.
