Further, the courts have upheld that when it comes to entertainment, physical characteristics can be used as a qualifier, meaning Hooters can turn you away for being a dude or ugly and so can the movie industry.  If WB is traded publicly, his responsibility is to the shareholders to increase their returns.  If male leads = more money, he is doing his job.

That being said, the beauty of capitalism is that he can make this decision and you can punish him for it by not seeing WB movies.  However, he should not be ran out of office under a wave of political pressure.  It should be economically backed pressure from within WB, rather than riding some high horse.  Also, if there was a studio that was only going to make female lead movies, they would be praised for their attempt at diversification and equality.
