I saw Wanted last week at a press/advanced screening. It's okay. I don't know anything
about the comic, though. There were some cool action sequences involving the bullet-
bending and car chases, but some of the effect of the scenes were dulled because the
preview shows them off.

By the story's end, or rather, around plot point 2, the movie seems almost ridiculous.
And you realize that the movie isn't a solid story, just an entertaining package of visual
stimulus.

Wanted does provide enough to talk about regarding religious references and
symbolism. I don't know if it's in the original comic, but there's something going on in
the plot that feels like a give-up-on-humanity-and-fate-or-god(s), take-hold-of-
your-destiny, inverted Jesus and the Disciples, Judas as Savior kinda thing going on.

And that's probably giving it too much credit :)

What's interesting is that in previous interviews he expressed some sadness over the things they changed. I mean, its not like he wants us to think he loves this so his pay day is bigger, right? Right?
