Want to Go to the Dark Knight Premiere?

If you’ve got a desperate itch to see The Dark Knight after walking down the red carpet or want to clink champagne glasses with Christian Bale, the fine folks over at Charity Buzz are giving you a great opportunity.

You’ll need to pull out your wallet, though.

As of this morning, the featured Dark Knight premiere and party package, which goes to support New York Restoration Project, had a minimum bid of $6,500.00. So, you’d better have your check book ready because there’s still two more weeks worth of bidding to go.

Plus, you’ll have to live with yourself after funding a flower-planting initiative. To make matters worse, you have to fly through JetBlue, so you might end up sitting on a toilet seat the whole way out to the coast.

Despite it being extra, double-plus cost prohibitive and you being rabidly anti-vegetation, the auction is a really cool concept. In fact, I played around on the site a bit after drooling over the fantasy of sitting next to Maggie Gyllenhaal for the first public screening of The Dark Knight, and there’s some really cool things you can win if you have three large laying around waiting to be incinerated.

There’s walk-on roles to bid on, concerts, you can name a new species of frog or get an internship at NYU Medical Center. I’m personally waiting on their moon-trip auction to kick in, but I did make a bid to get our hedonist-in-chief Neil a lifetime supply of foaming bath balls.

He’ll love them.
