walken.jpgVariety is reporting today Christopher Walken, along with Alessandro Nivola, will be starring in FIVE DOLLARS A DAY. The story centers around a con artist (Walken) who is proud of living off of just $5 a day. But when his son (Nivola) is jailed for one of his father’s crimes, something must be done.

The project is being funded by the folks at ThinkFilm, a fledgling of Capitol Films. Nigel Cole, director of CALENDAR GIRLS, will be at the helm.

The flick is slated for production in New Mexico and Atlantic City starting September 10. Until then, you can catch Chris Walken and his magnificent hair in BALLS OF FURY, which hits theaters on August 29.
