I absolutely agree with you 100% i'm campaigning for people NOT to see this film because its completely bastardizing my childhood and its pissing me off. From the IRON MAN suits to the Destro not having his helmet on til late in the movie. The Cobra Commander sealed this piece of craps fate. Looks nothing like CC. I read the producer saying that “hooded” CC looked to KKK and to that i say go get crabs and die you POS. I'm so F**king tired of these Hollywood messing up something that wasn't wrong in the first place. DO NOT SEE THIS MOVIE. If you are curious then wait til it's in the $1 video machine. Don't contribute to this garbage!!

While this movie will undeniably rake in big dollars, it is frustrating that they ruined the image of an icon with their version of Cobra Commander. What makes the Commander a terribly, creepy individual is the fact that underneath a velvet hood lies the face of an angry, indomitable, and unrepentant man who thinks that the system doesn't work for the common man. Those who made the movie should have researched this fact.This is what made Cobra Commander one of the iconic villains in comic book history, and what made him a cut above the rest. Oh, I fear what die-hard fans will say about this movie.

The only reason I will even go to see this movie would be to check out Ray Parks action sequences. Even then it will be a matinee.

Only Hollywood could take one of the coolest villians of the last 20 years and fuck him up so much to make him unlikeable.

Mindless action films have no place in cinema, Cole.

But just because you don't care about GI Joe shouldn't stop you from understanding why the vast fanbase would be upset by this. How upset would you have been if Jurassic Park the movie was about Dr. Bill and his mission to capture a live dinosaur in the Congo? Or if the proposed LiteBrite movie deviates from the true origin?

Wow – I couldn't really care less about the film staying true to G.I. Joe, so I equally care very little about whether they've gotten a character's look correct.

The trailers all look like a big, dumb action flick to me. Is that such a bad thing?
