Universal Packing ’2 Guns’ from Boom!

Because more is better and two guns are twice as cool as just one gun, Universal Studios has optioned the rights to the Boom! Studios graphic novel “2 Guns.” The book, which was written by Steven Grant with Mat Santolouco providing the interior art, follows a a DEA Agent and an undercover member of the Naval Intelligence working against the mob. In a bit of a twist, the two agents are investigating each other while both are hoodwinked into actually performing deeds for the mob. While I haven’t read this, it sounds like a cool crime book.
Marc Platt (Wanted) is producing the film which is said to be in the vein of a classic 80′s buddy cop film, so hopefully we’ll get an R-Rated action quasi-comedy with lots of guns and drugs. Some hot women would be nice as well. Stay tuned for more updates as they come along.
