Hey, it just goes to show that there's more of an audience for funny, feel-good movies with Christian values than for serious, depressing movies about politics, or movies that are difficult to follow. I went to see "Slumdog" with my nana a week ago and she hated it – the shaky camera gave her vertigo, she couldn't see the subtitles and she found it difficult to follow, even with me narrating it in an empty theatre…

This was also Lionsgate's top opening week for ANY of their movies. Totally the younger African American audience with a core of female followers. I wouldn't underestimate Madea anytime in the future. Or Tyler Perry. And I didn't even think about going to the movie and I fit (sort of) the demographic.
