Twilight Stars Vogue Out for Entertainment Weekly

Posted by Neil Miller (neil@filmschoolrejects.com) on July 10, 2008

There are many ways to describe this upcoming film known as Twilight. It has by all means a cult following, appeals not only to the TwilightMoms, but also to adult men such as our own Cole Abaius, and it is quite similar to Harry Potter in that tweens love it and it sells a metric shit-ton of books. One thing I did not think about was that there is some sexiness going on here. To illustrate my point, I present to you the upcoming cover of Entertainment Weekly:

Unexpectedly sexy, indeed.

  • That is the oddest photo of a human being I've ever seen.
  • Neil, can you please clarify where exactly you see "sexy" in that photo?
  • More anemic then vampire, I'd say.
  • Anemic, and a botched photoshop job. Why can't magazines just take photos and pop them on covers? It's really easy. We used to do it all the time. Now everything has to be destroyed completely by people with, let's face it, pretty bad cloning and comping skills.

When a massive amount of people can tell things are photoshopped, it's time to go back to normal pictures.

and they couldn't even photoshop away his chest hair... lol

Looks like the poster art for a bad B-Movie the only thing that is missing is a really cheesy tagline to go with it:

"They only thing that could break them apart, is a stake to the heart".

*sigh* No, Neil, there is no such "sexiness" in Twilight, unexpected or otherwise. In fact, Edward Cullen (the character) is so conservative, he wouldn't pose for a photo with his shirt unbuttoned, and Bella was never this glamorous. I feared this would happen. People who haven't read Twilight will think weird things about it because of this cover. I'm sure EW thought it was witty, putting Edward and Bella on there looking like they were from those romance novels that always seem to have Fabio on the cover. But that is just not what Twilight is all about. Bad call, EW. Bad call.
  • Am I the only one who had their world shattered by seeing a guy wear their belt like that?
  • Mhaey
My ex boyfriend wears his belt like that... :) Hmmm... and he's my ex now... Hahaha...

And yeah people should read Twilight first before commenting about it... You might be
disappointed that the story is not like what this EW cover is showing off at all...

And as for the stakes killing Edward... Hmm... I don't think so... LOL!
  • Ashley Demma
I must confess...I too rock the side buckle. It's something I'm not proud of, but it just became habit after I did it once as a joke.

That aside...his hair kind of resembles a younger Donald Trump. It's so foofy and lopsided...ew.
