Twilight Movie Trailer May Play with Speed Racer
Movie News By Neil Miller on April 30, 2008 | (14) Comments
We have been giving a lot of love to the upcoming film Twilight, based on the popular series of books by Stephenie Meyer, as it has become a huge sensation on the web. And thanks to all of the friendly “Twilighters” who have come to FSR to share their thoughts in our comment section on Michelle Graham’s Twilight 101 article, we seem to be learning a lot in a very short time.
One thing we do know is that Stephenie Meyer’s books, as well as the upcoming film which stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, has a rabid fanbase the likes of which we have not seen in a long time. Some liken it to the craziness of Harry Potter, but I can attest to it being something else entirely.
It appears as though we are not the only ones who realize this though, as Warner Brothers appears to be trying to test the waters by including the first Twilight teaser trailer with prints of Speed Racer, which hits theaters on May 9. As Frosty over at Collider reports, the trailer is shipping in the can with every print of Speed Racer, meaning that it should be present for any advance screenings and it should (but is not guaranteed to) play with every run of Speed Racer. As of this moment this is still in the rumor phase, but Frosty is usually right on target — so its probably pretty spot on. We will keep you posted as we uncover more info.
