First Twilight Movie Poster Unveiled

It has been quite the couple of days for the Twilight world. Twilight’s first teaser appeared yesterday, complete with brooding soulful looks, tense exchanges and even a bit of action, and now the flames are being fanned even higher with the first poster appearing over on MTV’s Movie Blog. Designed by the 18-year-old Joey Laurence (18 years old and already doing that? Holy crap do I feel both old and inadequate) it really is a pretty picture, with the askew framing setting up what can only be described as quite a weird relationship nicely. Is Edward hovering over her like a guardian angel, or is he a predator about to strike, with Bella as his prey? Yes, this poster will look great when printed up and plastered on the ceiling of every teenaged Twilighter’s bedroom, or adorning the screensaver of the older generation of fan’s work/home PC:
With the release of the poster comes another scrap of news. (They’re really spoiling you this week, Twilighters, how will you go back to regular weeks with only scraps of news to keep you going?) Not only will Laurence be doing the rest of the posters for Twilight, but he has been signed to do posters for all the sequels too. So hopefully his edge and mark will be as good on those as they are here.

Ummm. Confused here. Joey Laurence designed the poster? 18 years old? If its the the same Joey Laurence I’m thinking of, he should like, 30 by now. Maybe it was his youngest brother? Love the poster tho!

1st: the poster is AMAZING!!! AMAZING!!!!! i really want to see all the pictures of that photoshoot!!!
2nd non twilight related: “18 years old and already doing that? Holy crap do I feel both old and inadequate” LOL yes! im 23 and alredy feeling old!! i mean, 18!! talk about a kid with a bright future….
3rd: what regular weeks?? haha, we love been spoil on anything Twilight!! (i´m so behind at work though…) but it´s worth it!! :D

that poster is just TERRIBLE … looks awfully photoshoped and amateur … if this guy really is 18, its really visible in the poster … i hope the later posters will be better!

omfg. that’s hot. i LUUUUUUUUUV those books, and can’t WAIT for the movie. but, unfortunatly, we all no that the books will be so much better than the movies. :’(

I think it’s great. It is definately in the theme of the book. I also love the camera angle I
could stare at it forever. I love how it’s brought in really tight, almost too tight so that
your like, “Whoa” You can reall see the intense feelings between them. I cant wait to see
what the do with Jacob!
