There was almost a riot in class today.
There was a Harry Potter v. Twilight argument raging for half an hour.
I, naturally, stepped in and became Sweden in this situation mentioning that Chronicles of Narnia is a perfectly acceptable fantasy series and that C.S. Lewis did it first.

BONUS: The argument stemmed from how real each of them were.

Seriously, it is far worse to dress up as Obi-Wan than to be wearing a "team Edward" shirt from Hot Topic. At LEAST, those aren't costume worthy…

I don't mind a vampire flick, but I wouldn't see this given the choice. My wife has transformed into a fangirl, and I have to put up with her acting giddy whenever the same trailer she's seen a million times comes on the television, or when they show an "exclusive" look at Twilight during one of her dumb shows. As much as I hate sitting in a theater and having to endure a horrible movie, part of me wants this to go down the shitter. Not because I hate my wife, I love her, but because I know that I'm going to be sitting in a theater full of teenage girls ready to squeal at any factor relating to the novel.

And judging from the previews, the acting looks just awful. Like robotic daytime television prettied up for the big screen awful. You know, like when Keanu Reeves sends mail into the future.

Haha. Nice to know you guys are working on it. I always try and check before and after school but sometimes it just doesn't load up. And typing on it is pain with this new comment section. Its great on the computer, but not so much the iPod.

We're working on that whole iPhone thing…unfortunately, Neil likes to write all his coding long-hand in crayon on the back of the children's menu from Captain Geech's Shrimp Hut. Admittedly, the crab cakes are delicious. But yeah, it takes a while to get the mobile thing a'goin' translating from code that's right next to a sea-themed Wordfind.

I never heard of Twilight before the trailer came out. I also don't understand its appeal. This story doesn't seem very original to me. Mortal falling in love with immortal vampire; this has been done pretty much in every vampire story. Just make the characters teenagers, then say that this is going to be a series and let the teeny boppers come rolling in to the box office with their weekly allowance.

LoL, that is what happened when Breaking Dawn (the 4th book) came out. A ton of twitards cried and whined on how they thought the author ruined the entire series and changed the characters and that they were going to return their copies and some even said they would burn their books. Ahahahahaha. It was funny. I'm sort of waiting for that backlash, but I have a feeling most of the girls are so delusional that they will swallow it all with squeals of delight.
