Transformers 2 Superbowl Teaser is Ready to Rock You

Just when I go off and mention that I wish the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen commercial set to run during the Superbowl tomorrow would pop up online, this happens. Below you will find the new TV spot, courtesy of YouTube. As expected, it will absolutely rock your face off — or melt your face off — or whatever hyperbolic phrase you’d like to use. From where I’m sitting, we get a heavy dose of bigger, nastier bots, big action sequence teases and well, Megan Fox is still in it. Need a fun-loving, action addicted Transformers fan — a card carrying Michael Bay fan — ask for anything more? I await your thoughts in the comment area below.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen drops in theaters June 26, 2009. Also stay tuned, as a full-length trailer is due out the weekend of Friday the 13th, likely in theaters with Friday the 13th (also produced by Bay).

  • Just like the first one...you can save 10 bucks by watching this and the next trailers. You are watching the creamy robo-nougat center right there...the problem is the coating to that creamy robo-nougat center is a mixture of week old clam chowder and barber sweepings. I'm sorry but the first one was ridiculously stupid.
  • For some reason, the Transformers movies possess a 'Get Out of Jail Free' card when it comes to stupidity? People say it's 'dumb fun.' I don't get that. Enjoying mediocrity will just bring more mediocrity.
  • Yeah...you're exactly right. And sometimes I get that and that's ok...ala 'The Transporter' or something. But in this instance, the filler between machines whomping on each other was REALLY bad...chasing after a cube or something?!?! Robots stepping on flower beds?!?!

    The thing that I find really odd is that another 80's toy icon is getting NONE of that 'GOOJF' card action...G.I. Joe. From the first press shots people were screaming 'FAIL!'. I'm not saying I'm seeing the dawn of a an action classic that will make everyone weep with joy, but I mean, why do Transformers get free cred?
