And just like that, here comes your daily Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen update. This one should be rather easy, seeing as my main concern is hitting you with a bunch of new photos from the film, which hits theaters in less than a week.

Of course, I could talk about this rumor that emerged via MovieTickets.com about how director Michael Bay will be ‘quitting’ the Transformers franchise after the second installment. But I think we all know — especially after seeing the mess of hearsay surrounding Christopher Nolan and the next Batman movie — that it is way too early to speculate on a third film. The last time Bay had anything to say about it, he was talking 2012. And we all know that the world is going to end by then anyway — or at least, Roland Emmerich is going to smash it to bits. (Side note: did you see that 2012 trailer? Pretty rad, eh?)

Personally, I would like to see Bay take some time off from Transformers and do something a little different, maybe something that people wouldn’t expect. It could be good for him, at least for a while until that urge to blow shit up creeps back into his head. I would also like to see you, our beloved readers, check out these photos below.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen hits theaters on June 24, 2009. The first seven are courtesy of Paramount Pictures.
