Trailer Watch: Mr. De Niro Shows Us What Just Happened

Robert De Niro in What Just Happened?

Ever since it premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, I have heard nothing but good things about Barry Levinson’s Hollywood insider comedy What Just Happened? So much, in fact, that I am relatively pissed that I didn’t see this movie when I had the chance. Thankfully though, this comedy that stars Robert De Niro, Bruce WIllis and Stanley Tucci will be in theaters sooner than later — October 3, to be exact.

As well, Magnolia Pictures has released the first full trailer for the film, which was said to include “some supremely amusing “self-mocking” performances from movie stars Bruce Willis and Sean Penn” by Cinematical’s Scott Weinberg. Have a look at the trailer for yourself below.

What Just Happened? is directed by Barry Levinson, who has recently had a string of mediocrity that includes the Robin Williams vehicle Man of the Year and the Bruce Willis actioner Bandits. Here he teams with the likes of De Niro, Tucci, Willis and John Turturro in what appears to be a very funny take on the “inside baseball” of Hollywood. The film will hit theaters on October 3. The trailer is also available in high definition over at AOL Moviefone.

Bruce Willis playing Bruce Willis. He’s made a career of this with Ocean’s 12 too.

The trailer is not as funny as it is supposed to be
