toystory3-banners

Earlier today we posted a YouTube embed of the full-length Toy Story 3 trailer, a video that was ill-fated from the start. Moments later, Disney’s lawyers caught up with the web and had it pulled. The trailer will be back on Monday via Yahoo Movies, but for now we’ve got some other cool Toy Story 3 assets to toss your way. As you can see above, Disney and Pixar have begun releasing simply designed character banners for the third film, starting with Buzz Lightyear, Hamm the Piggy Bank and Rex the Green Dinosaur.

There’s nothing groundbreaking here — just a trio of simple reminders that this movie is, in fact, the third film in the franchise and that these characters will be back. If you’d like to see a bigger version, you can check out Hamm at Slashfilm, Buzz Lightyear at Yahoo and Rex the Dinosaur at MySpace. Toy Story 3 is in theaters on June 18, 2010.

Has anyone seen the trailer for Toy Story 3? If so, what’d you think?
