In Talk to Me, Don Cheadle stars as Ralph Waldo “Petey” Greene Jr., a Washington, D.C. radio jockey whose electrifying attitude and crude nature lead him to become one of the most popular personalities of the mid-to-late 1960s. Greene’s “tell it like it is” philosophy was often controversial, but it got the attention of a nation torn amidst political crisis.
Now here is an off-the-radar flick that is exciting to me. I was one of the few souls on the planet that really loved Don Cheadle’s performance in Reign Over Me and I think this is another choice project for him. The supporting cast looks great as well, including Chiwetel Ejiofor, Martin Sheen and Taraji P. Henson. From the trailer, Talk to Me is going to deliver some laughs, some heart and certainly a solid message.
Talk to Me hits theaters on July 13, 2007. For more info, visit the film’s Official Site.
