The Trailer Hitch: American Gangster

With all of the big summer blockbusters flying around with their crazy pirates, their jolly green ogres and their emo-superheroes, it is hard to imagine that 2007 will ever deliver a serious drama. Last year we were patient and we got The Departed as a reward. And after seeing the new trailer for Ridley Scott’s American Gangster, which releases in November, I am thinking that this year’s wait may be worth it as well.

As you can see, American Gangster pits bad guy Denzel Washington up against good guy Russell Crow in a mob-infested badass-fest. Or at least, that is what we are hoping for…
