‘The Tourist’ Gets Traveling Money, Sets Out in February
Movie News By Cole Abaius on October 28, 2009 | (12) Comments
It feels like only 8 days ago that I got excited about The Tourist when it signed on The Lives of Others director Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck. You’ll have to forgive me for not getting all a’tizzy when Angelina Jolie signs onto a film. As much as everyone else worships her, I don’t think she’s attractive, a good actress, or a convincing hacker.
But now the project has secured the financing it needed from GK Films who will produce alongside Spyglass while Sony distributes.
According to Variety, The flick will roll cameras in February of 2010.
This officially makes Angelina Jolie the go-to person for projects that Charlize Theron and Tom Cruise don’t want to do.
Go ahead and harangue me for disliking Jolie.
