He didn't get to say a whole lot. Which amounted to one word. In a panic or pissed off state you revert to the language you grew up with. So even then they could speak English around the English speaking members. Besides most Nordic types speak good English.<br>Its no different to loads knowing how 'I am Legend' ended. He couldn't survive even though they changed the ending and he's the hero. In the book you actually get to realise he is the bad guy. He is the Bogeyman to the 'vampires' Hence his 'Legend'. Last man on earth with Vincent Price was more accurate.<br>I'm looking forward to it. And they should put the bad guy from Casino Royale in it. Mags whatshisface...... Or something. Why did the Norwegians have assault rifles and grenades anyways? A prequel that is so intrinsically tied to the original is a tough sell. Like “Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning.” You know no one can get away and the villain can't be stopped. Though, there is some cool stuff that can be done – the spaceship is huge, maybe we see the “original” form of the Thing. What it looks like when its just lounging by the pool or sipping hot cocoa.

It's going to be hard for them to make this well and have it make sense, but it's not impossible. The Thing video game for PS2 was awesome and it was a sort of sequel. So we have two English-speaking lead characters working with the Norwegians? And odds are there will be several more folks not speaking Norwegian at the Norwegian camp. Plus we already know exactly what happened... and we already know exactly how it ends. Are they going to have Edgerton's pilot character be the one who lands at the US base and dies in an attempt to kill the dog? Cuz that dude was speaking Norwegian.
