The Rock Knows His Disney Roles
Movie News By Ty Nelson on August 29, 2007 | Be the First To Comment
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s bid to become the heavyweight champion of family films scored another pinfall victory. Variety is reporting the former WWE superstar will once again team with The Game Plan director Andy Fickman on Witch Mountain.
Johnson will play a Las Vegas cab driver who picks up a pair of siblings with magical powers. Produced by Andrew Gunn from a script most recently credited to Matt Lopez, Witch Mountain is a follow up to the 1975 film Escape to Witch Mountain also released by Disney.
Production will begin in March.
On The Side: Dwayne Johnson also stars in the long delayed ‘Southland Tales’. A departure from his family friendly films as it features Sarah Michelle Gellar as a pornstar! ‘Southland Tales’ is tentatively scheduled for Nov. 9, 2007 release date. I’ll believe it when I see it.
