Captain’s Log — Day 1 of Comic-Con 2007 (San Diego, CA)
Maybe it is the fact that I am sitting right now in the Paramount Pictures presentation at Comic-Con, but I am feeling a little geeked out for Star Trek. In less than an hour J.J. Abrams will be telling the world not only about “Cloverfield” but also about his plans for the next generation (pun intended) of “Star Trek” films.
We have already seen quite a bit, including an exclusive chat with Edgar Wright and Nick Frost of “Hot Fuzz” and a look at Neil Gaiman and Roger Avary’s 3D “Beowulf” presentation. Hint, hint, Angelina Jolie looks smoking hot in 3D. But more on that coming to you later. Right now, I am focused on “Iron Man”, “Slusho” and other Paramount properties. Stay Tuned.
Neil “The Comic-Con Virgin”… Out.
