

According to reports from IESB actor Djimon Hounsou is slated to star in the long anticipated Marvel comic based adventure “The Black Panther”, the development of the project is scheduled for a three picture run. The African born Hounsou, who first came into prominence from his role of Cinque in the 1997 film Amistad and later on as the role of sidekick to Russell Crowe in the 2000 epic Gladiator, has revealed that this would be his dream project.
The idea of a live action Black Panther film was first brought to our attention in 1992 when actor Wesley Snipes and director John Singleton initially expressed there interests in the project of the African born king turned superhero.
No word as of yet on what director is attached to this venture.
