Inception TimelineThis Inception timeline infograph is very cool, there’s no arguing that. In fact, when I caught first glance of it over at /Film I was impressed with the artistry employed. Then I began to think about what something like this represents — general stupidity and a lack of attentiveness. As in, if you need something like this to help you put together the events within Christopher Nolan’s latest triumph, then you’re clearly doing it wrong. This is an ongoing frustration of mine, as I don’t see how some folks are so befuddled by this film. Inception is an ambitious work, a well-crafted story that stands 100-feet tall thanks to its craftsman director, but the story is very straightforward. If you didn’t get it, you simply weren’t paying attention.

That said, this infographic is very cool…

The graphic itself comes from Deviant Art user ~dehahs, a New Jersey based 3D artist. As I said at the onset, I dig the look of this piece. It’s fun to see Inception‘s many dream levels boiled down into a visual representation. But if this is something that’s necessary for you to understand the plot of the film, I would urge you to bang your head against a wall several times. Don’t worry, it won’t hurt you as much as it would me.
