The Green Hornet Logo

Either the folks at Sony Pictures are really trying to prove that Seth Rogen’s film The Green Hornet is actually going forward, or one of their graphic artists was really bored over the weekend, frustrated that he didn’t get invited to a barbecue, and decided to make the logo above, which appeared on a holding page for the film’s future official site.

With the film scheduled for a June 25, 2010 release, there isn’t much of a reason to have a website and logo art already up, other than to continue to get fans across the interwebs all worked up. Then again, we already have logos for that Avengers movie, so what the hell.

As for the actual production of The Green Hornet, the last time we checked in Superbad writing tandem Seth Rogen and Adam Goldberg were currently finishing the script. While no official announcements on casting have been made other than to have Rogen in the lead, word is (and always has been) that he is pushing for Stephen Chow to play Kato, the Hornet’s trusty sidekick. We will keep you in the loop, indeed.

Are there any Green Hornet fans out there who would like to shed some light on whether or not Seth Rogen is the man for the job?
