The Dark Knight Trailer Has Been Seen!
Movie News By Brian C. Gibson on December 12, 2007 | (2) Comments
I arrived home from my screening of I Am Legend last night, and could not stop talking about two things. One thing would obviously be I Am Legend, and the other was a trailer. The trailer was for The Dark Knight, and it was amazing. Rumor is that this trailer won’t be shown at all screenings but one thing is for sure, one audience definitely got lucky.
The lights went dim and all you could hear was The Joker rambling on about how Batman was the freak. You can see The Dark Knight on the roof of a building, looking down on Gotham. You can hear Gordon describing the Joker, something to the extent of “we just picked him up, no identification, no known aliases and the only things in his pockets were knives and lint.” Then you hear the maniacal cackle of The Joker as he says “Hello Commissioner…” This is followed by seeing hundreds of men in some type of uniforms rioting through the streets of the city, presumably they are The Joker’s army that we keep hearing about. You also get to see The Clown Prince take Rachel Dawes by knife. You get to see the Batpod in action, you get to see some buildings blow up, and you get to see The Joker in full force.
I seriously doubted the original photos of Ledger, but the look that Christopher Nolan finally decided on is absolutely phenomenal. The trailer does not give you the full magnitude of what to expect from the film, but it does showcase The Joker as what will ultimately become the obsession of film geeks all over the globe. The trailer was amazing, and I can not wait until everyone gets to see it.
