The Dark Knight: HBO’s First Look

The Dark Knight in IMAX

It has become clear to me that HBO, while always striving to stay on the forefront of drama with shows like “The Sopranos” and “Six Feet Under,” has not changed their opening for their “First Look” segments in years. I remember watching “HBO First Look: Bad Boys” and seeing the same damn opening — it is just mind-boggling.

But I digress, this is not about a first look at a Michael Bay movie. This is about a first look at a movie that would make Michael Bay’s face melt — Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight. As part of our ongoing coverage of the mass media hysteria that is The Dark Knight, please enjoy these two behind the scenes looks at possibly the biggest film of 2008:

  • Mike
Big fan of the site, but you should consider renaming in DarkKnightRejects. Seriously, on the front page there must be seven or eight Dark Knight stories....kind of ridiculous
  • Well considering this is our Batman Theme Week, similar to our Hulk Theme Week, it makes sense we have a lot of fun Batman coverage. Get ready soon for ComicConRejects!
  • And then PornWeekRejects!

That's happening, no matter what Neil says.
  • I'm not seeing any movie that's hyped up until its out on DVD. I'd rather see the ones not hyped. That's just me.
