While my own review of the upcoming Fox Walden release City of Ember is coming later this evening, I will say this: in addition to some odd human characters, including a quite literally gut-busting performance from Bill Murray, there are also some very interesting creatures within the film. And though there really isn’t a whole lot of explanation as to where these things came from, they are pretty interesting to watch. It is moments like the one in the clip above that separate City of Ember from your average family flick — it crosses over into a sort of teenage sci-fi drama, one not really suitable for little ones. But I digress, have a look at the clip and let me know what you think. City of Ember is in theaters this Friday. It stars Bill Murray, Tim Robbins, Toby Jones and Saoirse Ronan and is directed by Monster House helmer Gil Kenan.
