I guess she'll be playing Janet, the fact that she is holding an issue where janet doesnt apear confirms it: they want to decieve us into thinking she will be playing one of the females on that particular issue. Just look at her hair and tell me it does not scream "Janet Van Dyne" out loud.

I can't wait to see Thor and the avengers movies... Marvel is doing great! (I hope they would make an "earth X" movie... )

She could play the Wasp, despite the whole Desperate Housewives and chick flick background she has a look and who knows, my biggest issue is seeing the same names come up to play female characters, give it a whirl and see what happens. I can't see Marvel spending all this money over the next few years to screw it up on casting.

Casting women for parts as superheroine or villains is extremely difficult. Not to sound sexist but it rarely works. They are either too skinny or thier acting sucks or a combination of both. Choreography for fight or action scenes is generally junk (jennifer garner in DD, Jessica Alba F4 1&2, the model bank robbers from taxi). I am certainly not saying that women should not fill the roles, but more thought needs to be put in the choice of which person is going to fill the part. The only women I have seen off the top of my head that can actually successfully fill the part of a strong female character are Michelle Yeoh, Angela Basset, Charleze Theron, Carrie-Anne Moss to an extent, Sigourney Weaver, LINDA HAMILTON and maybe Jessical Biel to name a few. I realize that Sigourney Weaver and Linda Hamilton are old school but they are great examples. If you are gonna throw some skinny woman in the film as a super hero who looks like she belongs on a super model runway, you might as well throw a rapper into the movie so that the movie can achieve terminal velocity before it crashes in the box office. If anyone out there says Angelina Jolie, you're RETARDED! You obviously can't look past the boobs or lips to see the crap. There has to be a reasonable amount of realism in the actor/actress chosen for the part.

The comic that she's holding in her hand didn't prominently feature the Wasp...so if she was given that specific issue to read up on a character, then it would be for either Maria Hill (as mentioned above--although that doesn't seem likely with Nick Fury very obviously being set up as the head of SHIELD in the movies), Jessica Drew aka Spider-Woman (maybe a way to incorporate Hydra as the villain of the movie and have a "version" of Spider-Man in the Avengers? may be a bit too confusing for the average movie-goer, though), Maya aka Ronin aka Echo (pretty obscure character for them to incorporate right off the bat), Madame Masque (Eva Longoria as a villain? she's like 4 feet tall, I don't buy it...I don't think anyone would) or, lastly, and most interestingly...Jessica Jones (let's face it, you need a badass chick to play Jessica Jones...not sure if Eva Longoria has what it takes to play that great character). My guess is as good as yours, though.
