I' d like to see him do a sci-fi movie. The possibilities are endless, it would be new territory for him and remakes are too plentiful now, anyway.

dude, tarantino has always used western themes for his movies, if its southern location or characters with southern drawl. its also a revolver in a samurai assassin movie.. its in his blood. im sure his western will be something amazing and entertaining. more so then any modern bullcrap western out.

It was merely a turn of phrase based on the current Tarantino bashing feeling that seems to be out there, I'd defend him to the hilt and would do so happily.

Also Eyes Wide Shut is criminally underrated.

well one mediocre movie doesnt mean you have to apologise for liking his movies.

because Coppola directed "Jack", does that mean you have to apologise for being a fan of his.
Or apologize for being a kubrick fan because he made Eyes Wide Shut.
Or apologize for being Spielberg fan because he made AI.

Sorry for blowing this out of proportion, and I don't mean to attack you, but I'm tired of all this Tarentino backlash crap. He's a great writer and director, and so what if he talks about what movies he wants to do in the future, it's refreshing, he's just being honest, i doubt he considers these "offical announcements". someone asks him what's up next and he speaks truthfully about what he wants to do.

His innovation is something to be admired, as you never can properly prepare yourself for a Tarantino movie. It'll be very interesting to see what he throws together, but I pray it doesn't have an aimless plot with a dialogue overload like his 2007 film Death Proof. That was torture.

I think the press should put a ban on all interviews with Tarantino. I love his movies but every time he talks about future projects I just roll my eyes.
