I saw this a couple of months ago at the NY Film Festival. I'm not the biggest Korine fan, but I've found his movies to be at least pretty good, and at times great (except for Mr. Lonely, which was awful). Oddly enough, I think this might be my favorite of his films. Don't be fooled by any claim at a "synopsis"; this film has no plot. I really don't know why I liked it so much (I think this is what Korine was aiming for), but by the end of the screening I found myself very satisfied. The mood, unconventional filming style, and some wonderfully absurd moments all came together to make a surprisingly cohesive experience. As far as what that mood is, if anything I would call it a horror film. If you're at SXSW, I definitely recommend you see it. Even if you don't like it, I'm pretty sure you'll find it quite memorable.
