SXSW: Hilarious Trailer for Closing Night Film ‘Four Lions’
Movie News By Neil Miller on March 17, 2010 | 1 CommentThis afternoon, MSN Movies has released a hilarious first trailer for Four Lions, a Sundance holdover that’s been selected as the closing night film of this year’s SXSW Film Festival. The story is simple: it’s about a group of would-be suicide bombers as they try to find a way to die for a good cause. Politics aside, it looks hilarious. In fact, why not have a funny movie about terrorism? It beats all of those heavy-handed dramas that no one wants to see anyway. That, and who can deny that after In the Loop and the movies of Sacha Baron Cohen, that the Brits aren’t putting out great politically-charged comedy? I wouldn’t dare try.
Co-written by Peep Show creators Sam Bain and Jesse Armstrong and directed by Chris Morris, Four Lions is scheduled to open in the UK on May 7th. It will likely get domestic release dates soon.
