SXSW Exclusive: Elektra Luxx Poster Debut
Movie News By Neil Miller on March 9, 2010 | Be the First To CommentAfter a delayed start to this week due to some illness on my part, we’re back in the saddle and ready to rock on down the home-stretch of our SXSW 2010 preview. And we begin this week with an exclusive poster debut for one of my own most anticipated films. Last year, Dr. Abaius and I became quite enamored with Women in Trouble, the sexy lady-centric comedy from director Sebastian Gutierrez. You can see just how much I liked it by reading my review. At the time, Gutierrez promised to bring the second film in what will ultimately become a trilogy back to SXSW this year. So here we are, a year later — and Elektra Luxx will be making its premiere at SXSW 2010. If you’re not excited, you damn well should be. For more, check out the official synopsis and exclusive poster below. Elektra Luxx premieres Sunday March 14 at 9:30p at the Paramount Theater.
Synopsis:
Pregnant porn star Elektra Luxx (Carla Gugino) is trying to make a living teaching sex classes to housewives. But her life is thrown into disarray when a flight attendant (Marley Shelton) with ties to Electra’s past approaches her for a favor. Chaos ensues as fiancees, private investigators, a twin sister and even the Virgin Mary force her to face up to an unexpected series of decisions and revelations.
