Here is your trailer fix for the week, ya savages:
- The Hills Have Eyes [Trailer]
This one looks absolutely terrifying. I am not a huge fan of horror flicks, and even less of a fan of movies that appear to be this gory. But if being pushed almost to the point of vomiting in your seat is your type of theatre experience, then this one looks like it is for you. - V for Vendetta [Trailer]
Staff Writer Matthew Alexander has been drooling over this one for a long time now. One of the most anticipated films of the first half of 2006, V is the story of futuristic Britain and a masked hero with a very unique calling card. The story was written by the Wachowski Brothers (The Matrix) and looks to have similar graphical flair to their previous work. Definitely worth a look. Oh, and did I mention that it has Natalie Portman in it? - Cars [Trailer]
From the makers of The Incredibles and Finding Nemo comes a tale of a stock named Lightening McQueen. The graphics look cool, the voice over cast is star-studed, including Owen Wilson, Bob Costas, and even Richard Petty himself. Looks like some fun. - Basic Instinct 2 [Trailer]
I believe the internet acronym for this is NSFW, or Not Safe For Work. Sharon Stone may still have a little sass in her as she reprises her role from the original Basic Instinct. Somehow this trailer sheds light enough for me to say that this film could be all too reminiscent of the first, but that will only be known by seeing the flick. Either way I would agree that Sharon Stone still has it.
That’s what I have for you this week. Go forth and enjoy cinema…

Here is a quick hit on Trailers that you should be watching this week (links courtesy of IMDB.com):
- Superman Returns
This is the one that everyone is waiting for, right? Superman Returns in a Brian Singer film, starring Brandon Routh, Kevin Spacey, and Kate Bosworth. Click Here to watch the Teaser. - X-Men The Last Stand
The X-Men are back in what they are saying to be the final mutated installment of this comic book extravaganza that has seemed to form a semi-cult-like following. They have added new characters Beast, played by Kelsey Grammer, and Angel played by Ben Foster. Click here to view the announcement teaser. - London
Jessica Biel stars in a film that “centers on a party in a New York loft where a young man is trying to win back his ex-girlfriend.” This one co-stars Chris Evans, Jason Statham, and is ripe with a role for funnyman Dane Cook. Click Here to view the trailer. - Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest
The unwavering talent of Johnny Depp returns as Captain Jack Sparrow for another go at this whole swachbuckling thing. Almost the entire cast has returned for what looks to be the most anticipated sequel in a long, long time following it’s largely surprising predecessor. Click here to check out the Trailer. - The Break Up
Hollywood’s newest couple is Vince and Jen. Well at least Vince Vaughn can say that he has had “relations” with someone who Brad Pitt has dated, right? The relationship began on the set of the upcoming (June 2nd) release The Break Up. The film also stars Jon Favreau, Ann Margaret, Jason Bateman, and Joey Lauren Adams. Cast looks solid, trailer looks funny. What more could we ask for? Click here to check out the trailer.
And that is successfully our first installment of “Super Trailer Thursday”. I hope you enjoyed. Check back weekly for the latest and greatest in trailers… Same Bat-Time, same Bat-Station… I know, I know. Cheezy, but I like it.
