Sundance Watch: Wild Trailer for ‘Bronson’

Anytime a movie touts itself as a ‘modern day Clockwork Orange,’ there is reason to be suspicious. But out of suspicion, curiosity is born. And out of curiosity generally comes discovery of interesting cinema. One such interesting work is director Nicolas Winding Refn’s Bronson, which is premiering this week at the Sundance Film Festival. It follows the story not of famed actor Charles Bronson, but of a violent British criminal named Charles Bronson, played by Tom Hardy, who was originally sentenced to 7 years in prison but ended up serving over 30 years due to his propensity for beating the hell out of fellow inmates.
The first trailer for the film, which I found via the fine folks over at Cinematical, looks all kinds of wild. Trippy, gritty and filled with a big bald dude on a path of destruction. But don’t just take my word for it, check out the trailer for yourself below.
