Remember that hot chick from Pineapple Express, Amber Heard? Well, not to be gossipy, but I have it on high authority that she spends most of the duration of her upcoming movie The Informers in the nude. Yes, nude. And if that isn’t enough reason to see this film — which premieres next week here at Sundance — there is also Mickey Rourke, who plays a creep. The flick is based on a book by Bret Easton Ellis (American Psycho) and co-written by Nicholas Jarecki. It also stars Billy Bob Thornton, Kim Bassinger and Jon Foster. And if that all isn’t enough to get you guys interested — and I think I’ve appealed to multiple demographic groups here — check out the unrated trailer below. It is full of sex, drugs and rock n’ roll, 80s style.

The Informers starts its theatrical run on April 10th in New York and Los Angeles. It will then spread out wider and wider in the following weeks. Warning, the trailer below does contain nudity.

  • Easton Ellis is pretty much the king of kinky expressions of 80s excess. Trailer looks dope.
  • Not sure I can feel for a bunch of spoiled rich kids who are unhappy their life is not what they hoped it would be.
  • I can feel for a naked Amber Heard.
  • Save your money and get the clip off of the internet Cole.
  • Brian Rodden
Looks pretty good. I like his books and the film adaptations so I have high hopes for this.

I just got back from Sundance yesterday, and I have to say, I kind of enjoyed it. No movie is perfect, but, of all of the films I saw at Sundance, this one was at the top of my list.
