Posted by Neil Miller (neil@filmschoolrejects.com) on December 4, 2008

We continue our Sundance 2009 coverage with a preview of John Krasinski’s directorial debut, Brief Interviews with Hideous Men. The film, which is based on a book by David Foster Wallace, follows a graduate student (Julianne Nicholson) who copes with a recent breakup by interviewing numerous men about their behavior. The film was not only directed by Krasinski, who is most famous for playing Jim on The Office, but he also adapted the script. It will also star Timothy Hutton, Dominic Cooper, Christopher Meloni and Rashida Jones. Brief Interviews will be making its world premiere at this year’s Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.

  • Julianne Nicholson should have every script in Hollywood landing on her agent's desk. She has that quality that all the film legends had---you simply cannot take your eyes off her when she is onscreen.
