Summit Gets More Vampire Action, This Time It Might Not Suck
Movie News By Neil Miller on December 7, 2009 | (4) Comments
Summit Entertainment just won’t let this vampire fad die, will they? As of today — and a Heat Vision report — they are trading one teen heartthrob for an adult of the same ilk, moving from The Twilight Saga to a vampire project with Brad Pitt attached as producer.
Vlad, an action-oriented take on the famous character Dracula, is based on a script written by Sons of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam. It will be produced by Pitt under his Plan B Entertainment banner, with Summit on for distribution. Music video director Anthony Mandler is in talks to direct the project, which follows the story of a young prince, known as Vlad the Impaler, the man behind the Dracula myth.
Limited information, yes, but this already sounds like a better idea than Twilight. Am I right?
