Stephen Sommers Channels Michael Bay for GI Joe Action
In Production By Neil Miller on May 21, 2008 | (2) Comments
The other day we showed you some somewhat cool set photos from next summer’s toy-to-screen tentpole flick G.I. JOE that showed Snake Eyes (Ray Park) taking out his road rage on an unsuspecting enemy Hummer. Today, thanks to an email from FSR scooper BollCut (we have no idea what that means), we have a few videos to share with you from the set.
And it is clear from the videos below that not only is director Stephen Sommers trying to channel the likes of Michael Bay, as this article’s title suggests, with the flipping of cars all over the place, but it is also apparent that whoever put together these videos has atrocious taste in music. Then again, maybe they are trying to send us a subliminal message about the quality of this film. Perhaps.
I leave you with that thought and these videos. Enjoy.
G.I. JOE hits theaters on August 7th, 2009. It will star Channing Tatum as Duke, Rachel Nichols as Scarlett, Sienna Miller as The Baroness, Ray Park as Snake Eyes, Chistopher Eccleston as Destro and Dennis Quaid as General Hawk.
At the request of Paramount Pictures, we have removed these videos. Sorry.
