Step Brothers Movie Trailer!
Posted by Neil Miller (neil@filmschoolrejects.com) on February 27, 2008
Back in the middle of January I brought you the digs on the script for the upcoming Will Ferrell comedy Step Brothers. I believe I said in my script review that it was both “ridiculous” and “hysterical”. As you will see in the trailer below, the two characters in this film (Brennan, played by Will Ferrell and Dale, played by John C. Reilly) are two maladjusted 40 year olds who make Steve Carell’s character in The 40 Year Old Virgin look like the most mature man on the planet. It is if the script was written for the likes of Michael Cera and Jonah Hill (ala Superbad), but they decided to use Ferrell and Reilly instead. That said, enjoy the trailer…
Step Brothers is directed by Adam McKay, who co-wrote the script with Ferrell. It hits theaters on July 25.

Who’s producing this I wonder?

Probably not Judd Apatow. Oh, wait. Yeah, him.
This looks like a return to form on all fronts. Turns out that Will Ferrell does best when he’s playing a dysfunctional man in his 40s that isn’t a NASCAR racer.

Walk Hard never did it for me and neither did Semi-Pro. I thought the trailer was funny. Sometimes with Farrell movies it’s really a hit or a miss.

I LOVED Walk Hard in the theaters I now own the 2 disc edition, I was waiting eagerly for it to come out on DVD. I thought Semi-Pro was okay. I’m really looking forward to seeing this.
