Back in the middle of January I brought you the digs on the script for the upcoming Will Ferrell comedy Step Brothers. I believe I said in my script review that it was both “ridiculous” and “hysterical”. As you will see in the trailer below, the two characters in this film (Brennan, played by Will Ferrell and Dale, played by John C. Reilly) are two maladjusted 40 year olds who make Steve Carell’s character in The 40 Year Old Virgin look like the most mature man on the planet. It is if the script was written for the likes of Michael Cera and Jonah Hill (ala Superbad), but they decided to use Ferrell and Reilly instead. That said, enjoy the trailer…
Step Brothers is directed by Adam McKay, who co-wrote the script with Ferrell. It hits theaters on July 25.
