Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star Wars: The Clone Wars

This might come as a relatively anti-climactic bit of news, but the first “official” trailer for the upcoming animated film Star Wars: The Clone Wars is set to debut tomorrow across five Turner networks simultaneously. As our friends at Warner Brothers told us this afternoon, should you be watching any of the following at 7:58 pm on May 8th, you will be one of the first to see the trailer: Cartoon Network, TNT, TBS, CNN and Boomerang. The trailer will then appear online over at StarWars.com.

Now, there is no way to be sure that this is or isn’t the trailer we leaked to you back at the beginning of April until tomorrow night, so we are going to assume that this one will be all new. That should at least give you some hope. That is, until tomorrow night…

We also have a cool new image to show you, which can be seen above. This is a shot of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Captain Rex preparing for battle. They look ready to me. We will see just how ready they are when the trailer drops tomorrow evening, so stay tuned.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars hits theaters on August 15th.
