they couldn't write real Star Trek in the first place probably all they can do is write yet another pseudo-Star Wars with even more lens flares neurotic cinematography bullshit kissing scenes with Spock and who knows who bunch of unnecessary explosion and a clown believing he is Scotty

I don't know if thats a bad thing or not. As you know, The Wrath of Khan, was the same thing, and it didn't do too badly. I am hoping for something a bit familiar, in order to tie the two together. To Each His Own.

The ONLY thing that I don't want to happen is that this re-boot uses some lame old plot line. TOS first movie was nothing but a rehash of a episode of the "V'ger" episode. So if they pull off some lame ass crap like that my head will explode as I wonder why I didn't get into movie making as it requires no work and very low IQ.
