And if you dont want to vote and you think it is a bad idea then ill give you some ideas like peter parker finally finds his parents but only his father is alive and he gets out of jail and then we go back to spiderman 1 and the father turns into the green goblin and also venom can come again but more powerful but then spiderman has to make a choice if his father is the green goblin and the green goblin wants to kill spiderman. when peter parker does not know his father is the goblin and his father does not know peter parker is spiderman. Then so he has to kill his father or kill himself or tell all of newyork that he is spiderman and then something might happen i dont really know alot about the venom so if anyone does write something about him this could be a really good film.This might be my last message thanks but one more time dont quit spiderman 4 have toby maguire in it at leaste.

I know i write alot but im doing it for spiderman as soon as i heard there was no toby maguire i was really worried when i heard there will be a new cast i cried a bit when i heard that there will be not a spiderman 4 and it will start all over again i cried like hell i beg to god stay 20 years thinking just dont do it i dont think i can write anymore its to hard it hurts me please sam raimi my favorite director i love everything about spiderman if you do it i can tell you hardly nobody will watch it please dont do it can you at leaste do a vote. vote spiderman 4 or spiderman 1 again

Spider-man is my number one favorite superhero and Iron Man is my second favorite superhero. To tell you the truth, Spider-man has been my number one favorite superhero since my childhood years till now. I hope in the future Iron Man and the X-MEN join Spider-Man in the future Spider-Man movies. I honestly think and honestly I'm saying the truth here. If Spider-Man is going back to high school, then Logan Lerman or Zack Efron should be Peter Parker/ Spider-Man but if Spider-Man is not going to high school, then Jake Gyllenhaal, Shia LaBeouf, but if spider-man is going to high school, then logan lerman would be perfect or maybe zac efron. If not, then please put Jake Gyllenhaal or Shia LaBeouf as Spider-Man.

Plain and simple this is a cop-out on Raimi's behalf. He didn't want to make another film. They were able to intice him with money and he reluctantly agreed. But, like agreeing to help a friend move, when the day came he changed his mind and wanted out. I was looking forward to seeing Raimi redeem himself, but that dosen't look like its going to happen. Often a lead character in these films is irreplacable (Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Robert Downey Jr. as Ironman) but Maguire as Spider-man is not one of them. In fact all of the cast could be better. The only characters in the franchise who were really good were J.K. Simmons as JJ Jameson and Alfred Molina as Doc Ock. I was exited to see The Lizard character finally realized and maybe Vulture or another classic villain. Maybe in the reboot they can include them. Only time will tell.

This is an assassination of creative team by corporate greed provoked by the Twilight-mania. RIP Spidey. The thow first movies were fun, inspiring and intelligent. Sony can't possibly drive the character to a good direction, since they are the ones who ruined it with corporative financial choices in the third installment; shutting Raimi's creative process and character continuity. Raimi had the touch for Spidey, and our generation. Personnally, I don't want to see a teen Peter Parker, with acne and love problems, because I'm simply not a teen. Raimi's Spidey was fun and entertaining because as we grew up, we could relate to his own issues and the stakes he had to face. Raimi's Spidey was much grounded in reality, much like Downey/Favreau's Stark, putting aside the whole superpower/FX stuff, yet emphasizing it by giving it distance. I am trully saddened by this news. I did not hate Spidey 3 as much as every fanboy out there, maybe because simply i'm not a geek fanboy, i just like superheroes, like movies, but above all, like well made movies with human character depth.
Plus you don't reboot a franchise after only three films, and just because the third didn't work, specially when it's your fault.
The whole Spidey 4 cast & crew started their journey facing problems, but much like the hero they carried, they knew that the great power of being bestowed with making a good 4th movie meaned a great responsability, and would have come out stronger out of it. If Sony let Raimi do his magic, they'd have had their numbers and box-office wreck.
What does it mean anyways ? They will reboot the franchise every 2 or 3 movies, or everytime one of them does please all audiences ? That's called prostitution.
I give a lot of credit though to Raimi, and the crew, for their professionalism and integrity, because I am sure he is the one who said "no, this is not my vision of it and I won't make your movie" when Sony put his back on the wall and did not accept schedule or his vision of the story. And again, the whole bullshit corporative speech is a big lie, if they are willing to release this reboot movie in 2012, it means they could give Raimi more time to do his Spidey4. It means also that there was a bug in the relationship, and that the real reason for this break-up is out there ... probably that Raimi left because of disagreement with corporative matters.

Fine, Sony, go ahead, make a Twilight-3D-Imax-Carnage-Symbiote-Spy-Kids extravaganza out an interesting character-driven story, and make a void out of a character we could relate to.
Funny thing, in times when Fox used to be the devil for creative filmmakers that dictated their business-box-office formula of successful movies, it finances Avatar, a high-risk project with a Hard-ass director that imposed his needs and his vision. Making special FX/Explosive movies is easy, you don't need actors for that. If you take actors, you give depth to the persons you see on the screen. Sony chose the other direction. Now Sony, you are in the Devil's throne, and in my target. Congratulations. I will be back.

I know it's not a popular opinion, but I don't like Sam Raimi at all, so I'm personally hoping for a new Spider-Man movie that I can actually like. Not that I'm rabid fan – but I'm interested in the potential that I haven't yet seen in the series.

THANK GOODNESS. Tobey Maguire was a terrible Spider-man and Sam Raimi/Kirsten Dunst really cheesed up one of my favorite super-heroes. I'm so tired of weak monologues that only held up because of the full orchestra playing behind it.

This is very confusing. Reports said Raimi left because he said he couldn't finish the film in time while maintaining integrity and the studio didn't like this. But now reports are saying the reboot is planned for 2012? WTF? If they're willing to wait that long why can't they just give Raimi more time?

Hey now, Spiderman 3 was a trainwreck, but Spidy 2 was a great movie and I think Maguire was surprisingly endearing. I just hope that in the next installment they don't take him too seriously.
