Hot on the heels of Transformers, the 2007 summer movie blockbuster that combined beautiful babes, kick-ass robots and super sexy cars like the 2008 concept camaro, comes Speed Racer, expected to be one of the big summer movie blockbusters of 2008. And the directorial team behind the wheel, the Wachowski brothers (of The Matrix trilogy and V for Vendetta), are certainly upping the ante over Michael Bay’s tantalizing combination of all things men love… although with Christina Ricci cast as Trixie, Speed Racer is still wanting in the ridiculously good looking female lead department (oh come on, even Ricci’s recent sexually explosive role as Rae in Black Snake Moan pales in comparison to Megan Fox and Rachael Taylor in Transformers).

Speed Racer’s rival car was recently revealed at an auto convention in Tokyo by the popular Japanese racing team “Autobacs Racing Team Aguri (ARTA),” who will also race in the film. The first photos of the mesmerizing and demonic rival car were published by an auto blog called Rocket Punch. Take a look at the pictures below:
