Not excited about spider-man 4, even being an obsessed fan of spider-man since i could walk, they f#cked up venom's story, now they cant make movies with carnage unless something magically comes out of no where which movies like to do, but anyways, not excited but Thor on the other had sounds like it would be cool, i just cant wait for Avengers, that is going to be sick, i hope its like a 4 hour movie lol

just an afterthought on X-Men…Jack Nicholson was originally going to play Wolverine back when they were trying to make the movie back in the early to mid nineties..I remember reading some Vanity Fair interview when he was doing press for Wolf mentioning his involvement…also if you notice in The Departed he gives the kid a Wolverine comic in the beginning of the movie…

I just want to throw in my agreement with what you said here about Blade. I think many people don't count it because they think the character was never really well known enough to be considered a comic book movie. But I still do remember knowing it for sure at the time that it was, even though I'd never read or seen the comic before. I definitely remember being excited by its success and how I thought it could pave the way for lots of great stuff to follow.

from what I understand the original script for Spidey 4 leads into a 5th movie…I think they're waiting on both scripts and then they'll shoot back to back to save money….it would make sense along with the fact they can get two films done at once….instead of Sony having to wait another three years…what I'm hoping for is the Lizard as the main villain in the 4th and then the Sinister Six for the 5th….if the Sinister Six ends up the villains we could see Sandman and Black Cat as Spidey's allies…I think it would be good for Sony to have another spin-off film besides Venom and a Black Cat film could be interesting…

the "renewed cinematic superhero craze" actually started with Blade not X-Men…if Blade wasn't as successful as it was X-Men would have never been made…Blade had a somewhat serious and adult tone unlike what superhero films had become with Batman & Robin…Norrington was the first director to pave the way for Singer, Raimi and Nolan….Blade 2 is still my favorite del Toro flick

I knew this was coming when the dates were originally announced…considering the amount of effort and money involved Marvel Studios wasn't thinking too clearly….spreading out the dates of Captain America and Avengers was the best move…it's cool we'll see Thor and Cap in the same summer….what about Ant-Man??…

Raimi confirmed a while back he was returning…

*Raimi told Michigan paper The Oakland Press that he's beginning production on Spider-Man 4 in 2010 and will look back to his home state for shooting locations. "I'll be looking at Michigan for our second-unit photography on the new Spider-Man film."

I'm so done with Tobey. I nominate Milo Ventimiglia as Peter Parker. He's got the look of the real Parker, and he might even be the better actor, although thats not saying much.
