Hulu has posted a brand new first look at Battlestar Galactica: The Plan, a new television film that will be broadcast on the Sci-Fi channel this fall. It is a reimagined version of the Battlestar Galactica story from the perspective of the Cylons who began the mini-series by living among the humans within the fleet of survivors. And in this clip we get a glimpse of a moment between John Cavil (Dean Stockwell) and Ellen Tigh (Kate Vernon) during the events of the BSG episode ’33′.

As someone who misses Battlestar Galactica like crazy, it is great to see something new coming down the pipe for later this year. And while it will be shortlived (tv movie style), it will be great to see some of these characters back on my TV screen again doing something relatively new. As well, I find it fascinating that in their desperate attempts to siphon the final pennies out of the BSG phenomenon, Sci-Fi has actually tapped into one of the more provocative alternate angles: what was this like for the Cylon’s hidden within the fleet? Very cool, if you ask me.

Battlestar Galactica: The Plan is scheduled to air sometime in November 2009. Have a look at the new clip below.
