Oh dear God, please, what ever you do keep Brad Pitt as far away from the movie as humanly possible. I have no doubt in my mind that there will indeed be a sequel to Sherlock Holmes since there were so many cliffhangers but again no Brad Pitt. He's not worthy enough to play the role of Moriarty. He would destroy not only the character but the movie in mere seconds. Find someone more suitable, please, I'm begging you as a complete Sherlock Holmes fanatic.

Ed Tolputt played the “shadowy” Moriarty in the fist movie, I think he should continue the role. Keep Brad Pitt out of the movie or make him a minor role.

How about having John Goodman play Holmes' brother Mycroft. He's got the right build for it.
Please, please, I hope they don't have any gay stuff. Sherlock Holmes isn't gay; he simply does not trust women. People sometimes read to much into stuff, you know.

No Brad Pitt- been in too many films already playing 'Brad Pitt' -he has had his turn in too many movies. Get a real, believable strong British or European 'character' actor and a new Irene Adler actress- maybe some people from previous Guy Richie movies …except Madonna. The Holmes movie is a very interesting 'reboot' – a new perspective, well done.

If a sequel is made they should at least stick with the little bits of the real Holmes stories they mixed into the first movie rather than making them up. The Irene Adler love twist was horrible (he didn't love her, but he respected her skills.), and please no Brad Pitt he just doesn't seem like a good choice for Moriarty.

I don't think that's true. I mean if it was then why put Irene Adler in the film. She was Holmes' great love, but she was just plain to evil in the end.

No my decision is still up in the air at this moment on the film. It will be based on whether they try and make Downey and Law homosexual, which is a rumor I heard. Is that true Neil?

I guess I'm the only one who thinks this movie will be garbage. MovieRobot are you serious Brad Pitt could only make the movie better. I won't see the first one or the sequel.

The minute you do anything with Holmes, your looking at a franchise, wether it's the tv root or the film root. Holmes has been and will be around forever so thinking about a sequal makes sense. I think the trailers for the new film look fun and I think it's gonna make enough money here in the US and overseas to account for a sequel.
