I am all with you citizen. Did you guys want something that was over-the-top ridiculous and would likely never be made in real life? I think the 'mech' units are the most realistic design for future warfare. Plus, it isn't necessarily the appearance that matters. Unlike the robots in 'revolution' maybe these units will blow your panties off with all kinds of cool tricks. I don't care what the haters say, Cameron can do no wrong.

Hate to break it to you but the world of Sci-Fi is filled with exo-skeleton armors. BTW last time I checked the film “Aliens” featured Exo-skeletons like Avatar's…which was directed by James Cameron. And in the 1990s animation series Exo-Squad features machines like this and the characters connect cables from the machines to the back of their heads….that I'm sure the Matrix directors drew inspiration from and it came out long before the Matrix…Mr. Scott the Ignorant Intern.

One day on the list of military vehicles we'll see Tanks, Choppers , Jets, Hovercraft and Exo-Skeleton Armor. If you really think about it once we do have functioning exo-skeleton suits like these they would look basic like these do. James Cameron went with this design for a reason.

And Matrix's mech is ripped off of anime. Fair game. What lends more creedence to this is the fact that the Wachowskis are anime-fans and have other Matrix scenes ripped from various sci-fi anime.

And you could also argue (but it's a bit more of a stretch since the designs are different) that the Matrix's is ripped off of the power-loader.

I don't think it's fair to say it's a rip off of Matrix Revolutions robot. Mainly because that's a rip off of basically every “Mech” design ever created.
